Mark Bartlett’s residential construction experience started at the age of 16 when he began work remodeling apartment buildings. Through the years, he continued to learn carpentry and the building industry as a whole from Jim Scheller, a respected contractor in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region. It was with Jim that Mark acquired the work habits that make his reputation respected to this day. While in his 20’s and 30’s, Mark’s work in Maryland as a yacht carpenter proved that he was not only a creative and versatile craftsman, but an outstanding employee as well.
Realizing the physical limitations of carpentry work, Mark shifted his focus in the late 1980’s to the home building industry, specifically in the areas of professional sales and business management. For the next twenty years, he was vice president and partner of an Annapolis residential design-build firm where he continued to build his reputation for integrity and quality work. Mark made the decision in 2006 to establish Watermark, LLC; in doing so, he partnered with a new generation of Bartletts who share his passion for business while providing outstanding customer satisfaction and high quality projects. Through his years as a builder and renovation expert in the Annapolis area, Mark has built countless solid relationships with clients and building industry professionals.
